I was an avid volunteer for Big Brother’s and Big Sister’s of Toronto for over a decade. I spent hundreds of hours mentoring young ladies. It was the most fulfilling part of my week. I was awakened and re-motivated each and every time a session was finished. When we moved to Prince Edward County I continued the trip to Toronto each week to lead a group. This year was the first year in over a decade I have not been “giving back”. So I was so very interested when the opportunity came around to give back in a different way. Keeping with my theme; the year of colour. #ColourtoConquer could not be a better platform for me right now. With 1 in 2 Canadians getting a cancer diagnosis in their lifetime it also couldn’t be more meaningful. LaUnching Colour to ConquerWelcome to the #ColourClub ! A colourful insta oasis designed by Tiffany Pratt and her sparkly team of creators. Vibrant colour beauty stations, rainbow streamers and vintage wigs were eye candy for my soul. The level of thought had me jumping from station to station determined not to miss a single detail. My GoalSo here we are fellow unicorns! Time for the proposal, I have a relatively small goal of $500.00 and when I reach this I’ll be colouring my hair GREY! Colour to Conquer Cancer invites all Canadians to colour their hair and raise funds to help conquer cancer in our lifetime. I am excited to be participating in this bold new fundraising program to raise money in support of cancer research. If you would like to see me with a bold and bright new hair-do, please donate today and help make a difference. Together, with your support, we can conquer cancer in our lifetime. I am participating in the memory of Laura 🐝 a rainbow who continues to colour my life each day. Thank You ~ from my heart ❤️
