Trying to Find the Magic

Sometimes the effort is too much, other times it is like a breath, so natural and consistent.  How do you train your mind and body to experience the magic that surrounds us everyday?  How do you let go of the first world problems and align your behavior to gratitude and graciousness.
Sometimes it is easy to laugh and make fun of your discomforts or challenges, other times it is just plain nerve racking.
One of those things happened just this morning.  The coffee maker just wasn't dripping fast enough, it was like slow motion and we are talking caffeine here!  It was just taking it's time. Under my breath I swore at it, cursed its molasses snail speed and then just as if it heard me through some super coffee brainwave (the proof that coffee has supernatural powers is evident in any Starbucks)  it stopped completely.  I tapped the top, nothing.  I gave the little white frame a shake, nothing. I said out loud. " I am sorry" so desperately that the machine came back to life.  Gave a little hiss, and then started on its slow flow down to to the kettle below.    I had to laugh at myself.  Because I had allowed myself to get so worked up I was actually believing that my percolator was plotting against me.  That my super power of a Walmart purchased percolator and myself were having a fight.   Granted this was a Monday and pre-caffeined.   I was able to step back and realize I had a choice in my attitudes and behavior.   My coffee machine was just that a machine.
So welcome to our little house of magic.  Of people inspiring each other; of being kind and caring;  of the beautiful and wonderful.  The scents and sounds and the soul.  Welcome.  Everyone.   Luv K8e ~  Author Katie Green
